Job Title

Senior System Products Memory Solutions Engineer

Role Summary

The NVIDIA System Product Team seeks a senior hardware engineer to lead memory subsystem enablement from first-silicon bring-up through production for datacenter and graphics products. The role focuses on HBM/GDDR characterization, validation, failure analysis, and partner coordination.

This position requires close cross-functional collaboration with ASIC, board, test, and software teams to define test methodologies and guide product-level memory decisions.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience in high-speed DRAM design and test.

Responsibilities

Lead technical activities and coordination to qualify and deliver memory subsystems.

  • Lead HBM/GDDR enablement, validation, and failure analysis for datacenter and graphics products.
  • Review memory partners’ design limits and test methodologies; translate findings into characterization and test plans per memory generation.
  • Define and refine characterization, validation, and power-on-readiness (POR) methodologies using knowledge of controller, board, and DRAM design.
  • Work with memory partners to enable memory into production and resolve qualification issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ASIC/VLSI, board design, software, and test teams.
  • Inform and guide product-level decisions impacting the memory subsystem, ATE, and production flows.

Requirements

Core technical skills and experience required for this role.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in high-speed DRAM design and test.
  • Broad comprehension of ASIC design, mixed-signal design, and power/signal integrity concepts.
  • Strong fundamentals in engineering and data analysis; able to use data to drive validation and release decisions.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with hardware and software for debug and failure analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, scripting, programming, computer systems, and data analysis methods.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience defining ATE test methodologies, POR processes, or production validation flows.
  • Experience coordinating technical qualification with memory suppliers.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Related technical degrees (for example EE, CE, CS, Physics) or equivalent experience are acceptable.
