Role Summary

Technical lead for Connectivity Software projects across architecture, development and productization phases for mobile SoC products. The role coordinates system architecture, software development, verification and product launch for Connectivity stacks including Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, UWB and Thread.

The PE partners with Product and Program Management, interfaces with customers, and drives technical decisions and cross‑functional execution to meet product requirements, schedules and quality goals.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical leadership, cross-team coordination, and delivery of Connectivity software for mobile products.

• Lead technical direction and delivery of Connectivity SW across project phases (architecture, development, productization).
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Program Managers on requirements, KPIs, prioritization and schedules.
• Act as technical liaison with customers and internal teams; represent Connectivity SW in senior forums.
• Define system architecture and software design for Connectivity SoC stacks (Wi‑Fi, BT, UWB, Thread).
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering (hardware, verification, system) and resolve cross-team technical issues.
• Organize and drive technical meetings, design reviews, tiger teams and summits.
• Perform engineering risk and impact analysis to support trade-off decisions and quality objectives.
• Ensure proposals are evaluated for patentability and maintain technical documentation as single points of reference.
• Drive process improvements, lessons learned, and project retrospectives from a technical management perspective.
• Support diversity, mentorship and effective communication across worldwide teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

• 3+ years experience programming in C, C++, Java or Python.
• Proven software engineering skills at system level and experience coordinating multi-team execution.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with product, program, customer and senior management stakeholders.
• Ability to perform technical risk analysis and make data-driven trade-offs.
• Experience organizing technical reviews, design audits and cross-functional problem‑solving.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Connectivity software domains (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, Thread, NFC).
• Prior experience as a Project Engineer or System Architect on large projects (>50 contributors).
• Extensive industry experience (10+ years) across software, systems or project engineering roles.
• Familiarity with patent filing process and industry best practices for large-scale distributed teams.

Education Requirements

One of the following is required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field (with 6+ years software-engineering or related work experience); OR Master’s degree in those fields (with 5+ years experience); OR PhD in those fields (with 4+ years experience).
