Senior Staff Engineer - Design Verification - Ethernet
Role Summary
Senior verification engineer in the Ethernet domain within Marvell's Compute and Custom Solutions organization. The role focuses on verification for datacenter and hyperscaler Ethernet IP, delivering verification closure for assigned sub-circuit blocks.
Day-to-day work includes developing verification infrastructure, creating test scenarios, debugging issues, managing regressions and coverage, and coordinating with local and global teams to meet milestones.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant experience in the Ethernet domain.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities include design verification activities and delivery ownership for assigned verification blocks.
- Develop and maintain verification infrastructure, testbenches, and regression environments.
- Create test scenarios and verification plans using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Debug verification failures and interact regularly with design teams to resolve issues.
- Drive closure criteria for milestones: coverage closure, regression stability, and documentation.
- Own end-to-end verification delivery for assigned sub-circuit blocks.
- Manage regression runs, coverage collection, and verification artifacts for handoff.
- Participate in regular syncs with local and global teams; contribute process improvements.
Requirements
Required technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM expertise; proficiency with Verilog/SystemVerilog-based verification flows.
- Experience developing verification infrastructure and testbenches.
- Proven debugging skills and familiarity with common verification/debugging tools.
- Track record of independently owning verification for at least one major sub-circuit block.
- Ability to define and drive closure criteria, manage regressions, and document results.
- Nice-to-have: high-speed Ethernet experience.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent) as stated in the posting.
