Responsibilities

The engineer will design and run verification activities for embedded software, automate tests, analyze results, and support release sign-off.

  • Understand datacenter power control systems and related topologies to verify requirements accurately.
  • Define test specifications traced to requirements and develop automated test suites.
  • Implement test automation tools, libraries, and frameworks for embedded environments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows for embedded software (build, test, release validation).
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, collaborate on debugging, and document root-cause analysis.
  • Verify and sign off software releases against acceptance criteria and produce test reports.
  • Provide actionable feedback to developers and apply software best practices (version control, static analysis, automated testing).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in the role.

  • 5+ years industry experience in embedded systems or software testing.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience developing test code using Python and PyTest.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN.
  • Working knowledge of signal-processing concepts (filters, FFTs, harmonic distortion).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document test results and prepare concise test reports.
  • Willingness to travel ~10% of the time.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. ISTQ certification is listed as a preferred certification.
