Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include planning, implementing and executing verification activities for IP blocks.
- Design and implement UVM-based testbenches and verification environments.
- Create and maintain verification plans, testcases and regression suites.
- Drive functional coverage closure and bug triage with RTL designers.
- Automate regression runs and integrate with CI systems.
- Debug complex failures using simulator waveforms, log analysis and assertions.
- Optimize verification methodology and improve verification efficiency.
- Mentor and review work of junior verification engineers; collaborate across teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; concise list of required and desirable items.
- Must have: 8+ years of IP/SoC verification experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Proven experience writing verification plans, directed and constrained-random tests, and achieving coverage targets.
- Strong RTL understanding and experience debugging at the RTL level using simulators and waveforms.
- Experience with verification tools and flows (simulators, coverage tools, regressions, CI).
- Scripting skills for automation (Python, Perl, Tcl or similar).
- Good communication and teamwork skills; experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Nice to have: Assertions (SVA), emulation, formal verification, or UVM VIP development.
