Senior FPGA Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on verification of FPGA-based designs for embedded/defense systems in Marlborough, MA. The role focuses on developing and executing SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments, driving coverage closure, and ensuring RTL quality prior to hardware integration.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 8 years of relevant FPGA verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and delivering robust verification environments.
- Design and implement UVM-based testbenches and SystemVerilog verification components.
- Create and run directed and constrained-random tests; analyze and close functional coverage.
- Debug RTL and testbench failures using simulators and hardware-in-the-loop when required.
- Develop scripts and automation for regression runs, coverage collection, and CI integration.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, FPGA engineers, and system integrators to resolve issues and enable bring-up.
- Maintain verification documentation, test plans, and traceability against requirements.
- Support integration, lab bring-up, and qualification testing as needed.
Requirements

Must-have: Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for verification.
- Extensive FPGA verification experience and familiarity with RTL design and synthesis flows.
- Experience with industry simulators and verification tools (e.g., VCS, Questa) and coverage-driven verification.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, TCL, or similar) for testbench automation and regression control.
- Experience with version control, issue tracking, and CI practices for verification environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance (clearance required for role).

Nice-to-have: FPGA vendor toolflow experience (Xilinx/Intel), board bring-up experience, hardware debug and lab testing experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (for example Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics) is required; or equivalent practical experience.
