Role Summary

Senior FPGA Engineer to design and implement FPGA-based embedded systems and digital signal processing for an underwater audio technology product. You will develop digital logic, custom IP cores, and simulation/test utilities as part of a small engineering team building production hardware.

Experience Level

Senior — the role expects experienced engineers; the posting specifies 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and develop embedded systems built on FPGA technology.
• Create digital logic designs using Verilog / SystemVerilog.
• Implement high-speed DSP algorithms in digital logic.
• Develop custom IP cores from scratch.
• Use simulation tools and write custom test utilities to verify designs.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.
• Proven ability to write mathematical algorithms to run on a GPU under Windows.
• Experience using Verilog / SystemVerilog for digital logic design.
• Hands-on experience with C or embedded C; MATLAB and/or Python experience preferred.
• Experience implementing high-speed DSP algorithms in hardware and developing custom IP cores.
• Experience with simulation tools and creating test utilities for verification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is specified.
