Job Title

Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Technical member of Micron’s ASIC Design Verification team responsible for developing and owning verification environments for SOC designs. The role collaborates with design and post‑silicon validation teams to ensure timely delivery and high verification quality.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Minimum 3+ years of proven IP or SoC verification experience as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include creating and executing verification environments and plans, debugging complex issues, and improving verification quality and productivity.

  • Develop and maintain UVM-based SystemVerilog verification environments.
  • Build and enhance Python-based testbenches and simulation infrastructure.
  • Define and execute block- and system-level verification plans.
  • Debug complex functional and integration issues in collaboration with design teams.
  • Drive coverage closure and improve verification quality metrics.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of verification environments and delivery quality.
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted techniques and tools to improve verification productivity and debugging efficiency.
  • Work closely with verification, design, and post-silicon validation teams.

Requirements

Must-have skills are listed first; preferred skills are noted separately.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of IP or SoC verification experience (excluding degree language, which is under Education Requirements).
  • Hands-on experience with UVM and constrained-random verification methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Python.
  • Proven analytical, debugging, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet schedules and quality targets.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with mixed-signal verification.
  • Knowledge of DRAM protocols (DDR/LPDDR/GDDR) and experience with AI-assisted verification or debug tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; the posting also allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a listed degree.
