Job Title

Senior Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer in the Power Solutions Group, you will design high-performance power-management products (PMICs) for industrial and automotive applications. The role covers specification, transistor-level design, simulation, lab characterization, and customer support while collaborating with digital designers, verification, layout, test, and applications engineering.

Experience Level

Senior-level engineer. See Education Requirements for specified years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Transistor-level circuit design and simulation of analog power circuits.
  • Architect, implement, and analyze trade-offs of analog blocks and topologies.
  • Develop system- and block-level circuit models and perform circuit-level and mixed-signal simulations.
  • Troubleshoot and characterize integrated circuits in the laboratory, including test setup and measurement.
  • Interface with product, test, applications, verification, and layout teams to bring products from concept to production.
  • Oversee and support analog layout activities and provide layout feedback.
  • Support application engineers and respond to customer technical inquiries.
  • Document designs and present technical results to internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 10%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional attributes:

  • Strong background in analog IC design and device physics.
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools and block modeling.
  • Familiarity with power-management IC concepts; switching-converter design is preferred (listed as nice-to-have).
  • Hands-on laboratory experience and familiarity with general lab equipment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to drive technical tasks to completion.
  • Nice-to-have: mixed-signal experience and prior work on automotive or industrial PMICs.

Education Requirements

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 5+ years of relevant industry experience in analog design.
