Job Title

Senior Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Experienced analog/mixed-signal design engineer responsible for developing and delivering analog blocks integrated into SoCs for wireless IoT applications. The role is on the AMS team and covers ADCs, DACs, DC/DC converters, comparators, temperature sensors, on-chip sensing, LDOs, GPIOs and related blocks.

Accountable for design, validation, and transition of analog IP to production, and for technical leadership within the team.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting specifies ~3+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience in addition to advanced training; an advanced degree may reduce the required experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end analog/mixed-signal IC development and validation plus support for production testing and customers.

  • Define architectures and perform schematic entry, simulation, and analysis for analog/mixed-signal circuits.
  • Supervise layout activities and coordinate with layout engineers.
  • Plan and execute laboratory measurements and validation of fabricated ICs.
  • Develop efficient production tests and assist in yield/product release activities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers; collaborate across teams for system integration.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills required or strongly desired for successful performance.

Must-have

  • Proven experience with analog IC circuit design in a CAD environment.
  • Strong knowledge of analog/mixed-signal circuit concepts, simulation, and testing techniques.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX, Matlab, and circuit simulation tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work as a technical leader and mentor.
  • Motivation to contribute across the full chip-design lifecycle from concept to mass production.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with analog/mixed-signal circuits commonly used in IoT ICs (data converters, oscillators, integrated power management).
  • Leadership experience directing other analog designers.
  • Low-power design techniques and experience at advanced technology nodes.
  • Behavioral modeling (Verilog/Verilog-A) and scripting or high-level languages (Matlab, C, Tcl, Perl, SKILL).
  • Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance design productivity and analysis.

Education Requirements

M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent training is specified; the posting also accepts equivalent practical experience. It notes 3+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience in combination with the advanced degree, and that an advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience required.
