SCE Test Engineer (Senior)
Role Summary
Senior test engineer responsible for developing and sustaining ATE test solutions for Secure Connected Edge (SCE) NPU microcontrollers from concept through product launch. Works within the Edge AI business line on new product introductions and collaborates with global product, design, and manufacturing teams.
Priority is delivery of first-silicon validation, test programs, test hardware requirements, and production release criteria for NPI products.
Experience Level
Senior — candidate is expected to have at least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities focus on test development, validation, and cross-functional delivery for Edge NPU microcontrollers.
- Develop and maintain ATE test solutions for SCE Edge NPU microcontrollers and IP test vehicles from concept to production.
- Validate first silicon and deliver test programs and test hardware requirements for qualification, characterization, and manufacturing release.
- Evaluate and deploy new test methods to improve coverage, accuracy, and efficiency; advocate proven methods internally.
- Provide Design‑for‑Test (DFT) inputs to design teams to improve testability and test methodology.
- Own and manage test-engineering deliverables, coordinating with global cross‑functional teams and OSAT partners.
- Work on high‑focus projects involving the latest process technology nodes and new product introductions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and professional behaviors required for the role.

Must-have: Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ATE test program development (example platforms: Teradyne UP1600 or Advantest PS1600).

Must-have: Proven experience developing and sustaining ATE test solutions for microcontrollers or NPUs; ability to deliver test programs and hardware requirements.

Must-have: Experience validating first silicon and supporting qualification, characterization, and manufacturing release.

Must-have: Strong planning, execution, problem-solving, and communication skills; self-motivated and able to meet project milestones.

Must-have: Experience working with global cross-functional teams and external test/manufacturing partners (OSATs).

Nice-to-have: Experience with DFT/DFX practices, advanced process nodes, IP test vehicles, or Edge AI/NPU architectures.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
