Job Title

RF Analog Design Lead

Role Summary

Provide technical and execution leadership for RF, analog, and mixed-signal subsystems in GlobalFoundries' Smart Analog and Sensor portfolio, including radar transceivers, sensor front-ends, power management, data converters, and mixed-signal SoCs for automotive, industrial, and IoT applications.

Act as the technical authority for architecture, design quality, and silicon execution, coordinating with Product, Systems, Digital, Software, and Manufacturing teams to deliver automotive-grade, high-volume sensor and RF silicon.

Experience Level

Senior level β€” requires 15+ years of RF/analog or mixed-signal semiconductor design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical leadership, architecture ownership, and cross-functional alignment through the full silicon lifecycle.

  • Lead RF, analog, and mixed-signal architecture and execution across sensor and RF-centric products (radar front-ends/transceivers, sensor interfaces, PMIC blocks, data converters).
  • Own end-to-end technical quality from concept, circuit design, and verification through silicon bring-up, validation, and production.
  • Serve as design authority for critical RF and analog blocks; manage trade-offs across noise, linearity, power, area, and robustness.
  • Align system requirements with circuit design, layout, reliability, and test strategies.
  • Partner with process technology, modeling, and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for GF platforms (FD-SOI, RF CMOS, advanced packaging).
  • Support customer and program engagements as the senior RF/Analog technical interface when required.
  • Mentor and influence engineers through technical reviews and best-practice definition (no direct people management required).
  • Perform work in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and demonstrated delivery record; knowledge of automotive-grade design and silicon bring-up.

  • Must-have: 15+ years of RF/analog or mixed-signal semiconductor design experience.
  • Must-have: Proven delivery of RF or sensor-centric silicon into volume production.
  • Must-have: Strong hands-on background in circuit design, verification, layout considerations, and silicon validation.
  • Deep expertise in system-to-silicon translation for sensor and RF-centric SoCs and strong silicon debug/bring-up and characterization leadership.
  • Experience designing for automotive-grade robustness and reliability.
  • Ability to collaborate across digital, software, modeling, and manufacturing teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with FD-SOI, RF CMOS platforms, and advanced packaging.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
