Project Engineering Management, Senior Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Lead Mixed-Signal IP (MSIP) projects from concept through customer delivery. Coordinate cross-functional activity across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management to deliver products on schedule and meet customer requirements.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant experience managing semiconductor, ASIC, SoC, or Mixed-Signal IP projects.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage one or more Mixed-Signal IP projects from concept to customer delivery.
- Represent the product line internally and externally; communicate project status to customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with R&D to plan new developments, updates, and enhancements.
- Schedule, track, and report project timelines across multiple R&D teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Evaluate and resolve customer change requests and technical issues.
- Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales support with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management.
- Maintain project documentation and use standard project-management tools to monitor progress and risks.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven experience communicating with and managing customer expectations on technical projects.
- Background in Mixed-Signal IP, SoC, ASIC, or semiconductor development environments.
- Program/project management experience and proficiency with standard project-management tools.
- Knowledge of quality management system processes and procedures is an asset.
- Familiarity with Linux-based tools and environments is a plus.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and team-building skills.
Education Requirements
A degree in Engineering or Applied Science (degree level not specified) or equivalent practical experience is expected; the role is paired with 8+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor/MSIP projects.
