Product Quality Engineer

Role Summary

Analog Devices is hiring a Product Quality Engineer to lead cross-functional problem solving for customer quality issues and drive continuous improvement in product and test quality. The role works across quality, operations, business units, and customer-facing teams to resolve complex issues and communicate results.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include leading investigations, coordinating corrective actions, and embedding lessons learned into product development and test processes.

  • Lead global cross-functional 8D teams from issue initiation to closure.
  • Use structured problem-solving tools (Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree, Fishbone, 5-Why) to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive preventive actions and lessons learned into new product development and risk management.
  • Coordinate implementation or development of test-related quality improvement initiatives.
  • Execute fast, effective containment actions when required.
  • Create collaborative team environments and resolve conflicts to meet goals.
  • Engage with manufacturing, business units, and quality management to align on solutions.
  • Prepare written customer reports, provide scheduled updates, and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
  • Support Customer Quality Engineering (CQE) in customer communications.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience to perform the role.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in product quality, product engineering, test engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills; able to drive complex cross-functional issues to closure.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience analyzing electrical performance data, yields, and manufacturing metrics to drive quality improvements.
  • Experience with test hardware, test processes, or test code development and debug.
  • Familiarity with automotive customer requirements.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required (as stated). No alternative degree equivalency language was provided.
