Job Title
Principal Design Verification Quality Engineer
Role Summary
Lead verification methodology and quality for DRAM across product families. Drive AI-enabled verification workflows, standardization, and traceability while collaborating with design teams to reduce silicon failures, improve cycle time, and increase confidence in silicon.
Experience Level
Senior level β Principal engineer. Requires 10+ years of experience in design, verification, or product validation engineering, with DRAM verification experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification quality, methodology, and scalable execution across projects and sites:
- Define and enforce DRAM verification quality strategies, metrics, and traceability standards.
- Lead closed-loop silicon learning: translate silicon failures into verification requirements and best-known-methods to prevent recurrence.
- Analyze and simplify end-to-end verification flows to reduce cycle time and verification misses.
- Own and evolve the JAMA requirements system as the verification standard across families and pillars.
- Drive AI-enabled verification initiatives: requirement decomposition, coverage-gap detection, failure clustering, debug acceleration, and workflow orchestration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design and verification teams to align on methodology and technical tradeoffs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 10+ years in design, verification, or product validation engineering with DRAM experience and hands-on work with testbenches, stimulus generation, and failure debug.
- Strong expertise in digital and analog verification concepts and experience developing or applying scalable verification flows.
- Solid VLSI fundamentals, including digital logic, semiconductor concepts, and DRAM architecture and operation.
- Experience working in a Linux environment and with industry-standard EDA tools (including Cadence Virtuoso).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to drive ambiguous, cross-functional technical problems to closure.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with requirements management and tracking systems (e.g., JAMA, JIRA) and structured documentation workflows.
- Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, SpectreFx, PrimeSim, and verification automation (Python, Tcl, Perl, or similar).
- Proven ability to define and scale verification processes across projects or teams and to mentor junior engineers.
- Interest or experience applying AI approaches to improve verification efficiency, quality, or scalability.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (explicitly stated as a minimum requirement).
