Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Write, review, and maintain Verilog RTL for FPGA designs.
- Perform design migration and integration of legacy or third-party IP.
- Implement synthesis, place-and-route, and timing-closure flows for target FPGAs.
- Collaborate with system, firmware, and test teams to meet functional and timing requirements.
- Debug and validate designs in lab and simulation environments.
- Contribute to product definition and implementation plans.
- Provide and receive mentorship within the engineering team.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Proven experience developing RTL in Verilog.
- Experience with FPGA implementation flows, synthesis, and timing closure.
- Ability to work onsite at Maryland locations and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience debugging in simulation and hardware bring-up.
- Good communication and mentoring capability.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Vivado, Quartus, or similar FPGA toolchains.
- Scripting experience (Tcl, Python) for build and test automation.
- Prior experience migrating designs or integrating third-party IP.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
