Modeling Engineer
Role Summary
The Modeling Engineer develops and validates customer-facing behavioral and channel models (Simulink, IBIS, IBIS-AMI) for integrated circuit products to accelerate customer adoption and system integration. The role works with product engineering and field teams to deliver validated simulation models and support complex signal and power integrity investigations.
Expected to deliver models, tools and flows, provide technical support to customers, and collaborate across engineering and field organizations. Required travel: approximately 10%.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include development, validation and customer support for device and channel models.
- Develop and validate Simulink, IBIS, and IBIS-AMI models for ADI products and systems.
- Implement and support tools, flows and methodologies for IBIS 4.2/5.x and IBIS-AMI model development and validation.
- Perform signal and power integrity simulations and physics-based modeling; support transistor-level simulations where required.
- Address customer simulation challenges and provide technical support to field and customer teams.
- Work cross-functionally to deliver models and documentation on schedule; maintain quality and traceability of model artifacts.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools exposure, and professional characteristics.
- Proven expertise in IBIS and IBIS-AMI model development for signal/power integrity and channel simulations.
- Strong background in analog and digital electronics and transmission line theory.
- Experience with EDA and simulation tools such as Spectre, HSPICE, LTSpice, HyperLynx, Sigrity, ADS, or similar.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, MATLAB/Simulink, LabView, or similar) for modeling and validation workflows.
- Knowledge of signal integrity analysis, physics-based modeling and transistor-level simulation methodologies.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and deliver projects on time; strong written and verbal communication skills; effective team player.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with electronics lab equipment.
- Technical writing skills and experience documenting models and workflows.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools applied to engineering tasks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE), Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
