Internship: Software Engineer - Secure Java Tools for Trust Provisioning
Role Summary
Work with the Trust Provisioning team in Gratkorn to develop and maintain software used for secure chip personalization and production flows.
The role focuses on building Java (SE) and Python tools, web services, and scripts that support secure creation, insertion, and distribution of confidential key material and product configuration.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for students or early-career candidates; suitable for those currently studying or with equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and test software components used in secure chip provisioning production flows.
- Develop production tools, web services, and automation scripts in Java (SE) and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tools into production processes.
- Follow secure development practices and support tasks within security certification scope.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of provisioning systems.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Interest and hands-on ability in Java development (Java SE) and scripting with Python.
- Curiosity about cryptographic protocols and security engineering.
- Self-organized, team-oriented, and reliable when handling security-sensitive tasks.
- Solid English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Availability around 20 hours per week.
Education Requirements
Ongoing studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Security, Telematics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent practical background/experience; "or equivalent" language allowed.
