Role Summary

Intern on the Design Verification Infrastructure team responsible for developing and maintaining the Verification Platform used across SiFive. The role focuses on building infrastructure, libraries, and tools that accelerate design verification workflows and integrate with Chisel and CIRCT-based technologies.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the Verification Platform and related tools to support design verification at scale.

• Architect, develop, and maintain the Verification Platform infrastructure used by Design Verification and validation teams.
• Implement new functionality in Chisel and CIRCT to support platform libraries and tools.
• Develop Scala/Chisel libraries for verification intent, test harnesses, stimulus generators, and scoreboards.
• Develop Python libraries and tools to query design intent from specs, generated metadata, and other sources.
• Build end-to-end tools and methodologies for verification flows and educate teams on platform best practices.

• Must-have: Software engineering experience in at least one compiled language and one scripting language.
• Must-have: Understanding of modern software engineering practices and experience deploying software systems to production environments.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Chisel, CIRCT, and/or MLIR.
• Nice-to-have: Background in systems software such as compilers, databases, or operating systems.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with EDA tools and design verification flows.
