Innovative ASIC Design Engineer (RTL/Verilog)

Role Summary

As a Silicon Design Engineer on AMD's ASIC team in Austin, you will research, design, and implement digital ASIC components with emphasis on RTL design and verification. The role supports the full ASIC development lifecycle from architecture-level design through RTL implementation and integration.

This position is part of an engineering team focused on silicon execution and verification for AMD products; the role does not require travel.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain RTL using Verilog and SystemVerilog for ASIC designs.
• Implement and verify digital designs using simulation and synthesis flows.
• Collaborate with architecture, verification, physical design, and software teams to integrate functionality.
• Write and maintain C/C++/Python code and scripts for testbenches, tooling, and automation.
• Participate in design reviews, debug silicon issues, and support bring-up and integration activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proven experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog for RTL design.
• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages: C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with ASIC development flows, simulation, and synthesis tools.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaborative engineering skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.

Education Requirements
