HF Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify and validate high-frequency engineering software within the Electronics, Semiconductor and Optics Business Unit. Develop and execute test plans and scripts, perform functional/regression/performance testing, and work with developers and technical specialists to resolve defects and ensure release quality.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical expectation: around 3+ years of professional experience in relevant engineering or software testing roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on test planning, execution, and defect resolution for HF software products.

• Design and document comprehensive test cases and detailed test plans.
• Develop, update, and maintain test scripts for manual and automated testing.
• Execute functional, regression, application, and performance tests and track testing metrics.
• Participate in defect management: reproduce issues, report defects, and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and specialists to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Work across Windows, Linux, virtual machines, compute clusters, and cloud platforms.
• Verify that product releases meet feature specifications and quality standards prior to deployment.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience, plus a short list of desirable skills.

• Technical background in high-frequency principles and applications (RF/microwave, antennas, signal integrity, EMI/EMC).
• Proficiency in programming and scripting, particularly Python, for test automation.
• Practical experience with software testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance).
• Experience creating and maintaining complex test scripts and test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments, virtual machines, compute clusters, and cloud platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and clear communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with EDA/CAE tools; familiarity with Ansys HFSS or HFSS 3D Layout.

Education Requirements

BS in Engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or MS with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Relevant fields include electrical/computer engineering, physics, or other technical disciplines with emphasis on RF, microwave electronics, antennas, signal integrity, or EMI/EMC. No specific certifications are listed.
