HBM Engineering Technician

Role Summary

Support engineering activities for prototype electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment related to HBM (high-bandwidth memory) projects at the Taichung MTB site. Work with engineers to perform testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, assembly and troubleshooting of experimental circuitry and test apparatus.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Perform operational testing, checkout and fault isolation on prototype systems and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot analog, digital and logic circuits using schematics, diagrams and diagnostic tools.
• Assist in design, construction, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype and test apparatus.
• Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and test programs to validate and debug systems.
• Document test results and assist engineers in identifying corrective actions for malfunctions.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Hands-on experience performing electrical/electronic testing and troubleshooting of prototype systems.
• Ability to read and work from schematics, diagrams and written or verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, test software).
• Experience with fabrication, assembly or modification of electro-mechanical systems.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with analog and digital circuitry.
• Prior experience supporting prototype test development in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
