FPGA Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver FPGA-based hardware solutions to accelerate ultra-low-latency trading systems. Work end-to-end on FPGA architecture, implementation, simulation, testing, and deployment while collaborating closely with quantitative researchers and strategy developers.
Experience Level
Senior-level β requires 8+ years of FPGA or ASIC architecture, design, and development experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with quantitative researchers and strategy developers to translate requirements into hardware designs.
- Architect and design FPGA solutions, including hardware selection and key functional blocks.
- Implement solutions from board-level logic to API integration and deploy to production environments.
- Work with trading teams and strategy developers to iterate and improve hardware performance and latency.
- Develop and execute simulation and testing strategies for verification and reliability.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical qualifications:

Must-have: 8+ years of FPGA or ASIC architecture, design, and development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.

Preferred: Experience with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet and PCIe.

Nice-to-have: Experience with high-level software languages (C#, C, Java).
- Prior experience in trading or finance is helpful but not required.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, or foreign equivalent.
