Role Summary

Senior-level FPGA engineer to design and implement FPGA solutions for high-accuracy micro-location systems. The role sits on an R&D team developing centimeter-level localization by combining sensor data, RF signals, and advanced signal-processing algorithms.

Work includes prototyping, optimizing FPGA designs for performance and timing, and collaborating with hardware, software, RF, and product teams to move concepts toward production.

Experience Level

Senior — requires approximately 8+ years of relevant FPGA experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Architect and implement FPGA-based solutions for real-time micro-location systems.
• Integrate advanced DSP and IQ radio-processing algorithms to enable centimeter-level precision.
• Optimize FPGA resource usage for high-speed interfaces and precision timing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, RF, product) on system design and integration.
• Research emerging signal-processing, radio-interface, and localization techniques.
• Rapidly prototype concepts and translate prototypes into production-ready implementations.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

• 8+ years working with FPGAs in a Verilog-focused environment.
• Strong proficiency in Verilog and VHDL; ability to implement designs on FPGA.
• Experience creating code from scratch and delivering production-quality RTL.
• Experience optimizing digital signal-processing implementations for FPGA.
• Experience translating MATLAB algorithms to FPGA implementations.
• Practical background with signal-processing algorithms and IQ radio processing.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with high-speed interfaces, precision timing, and RF system integration.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and moving prototypes to production.
