Role Summary
Contract FPGA engineer responsible for RTL design, verification, hardware bring-up, and system integration for medical/healthcare electronics. Works with hardware, firmware and test teams to implement interfaces, control algorithms and to maintain regulatory-quality documentation.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, verifying and integrating FPGA-based systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality processes.
- Produce and analyze design requirements for FPGA implementations.
- Write and verify RTL (VHDL/Verilog); perform simulations and implementation.
- Perform pin assignment and maintain HW/SW interface documentation.
- Develop interface and control logic for serial buses (I2C, SPI, UART).
- Implement control algorithms for motor drivers and analog front-end circuits.
- Perform hardware bring-up, measurement and troubleshooting using lab instruments.
- Support firmware and system integration testing.
- Apply risk analysis, failure analysis and root-cause analysis as required.
- Ensure designs and documentation meet regulatory and QMS requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical results.
Requirements
Required technical skills and professional abilities.
- Proficient with FPGA design workflows and mainstream FPGA development tools.
- Strong RTL coding practices; experienced in both VHDL and Verilog.
- Experience developing embedded interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
- Solid electronics principles and schematic-design experience.
- Proficient with lab instruments for measurement and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; self-motivated and able to act independently.
