Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining FPGA/emulation platforms and the associated automation and debug flows.
- Build and optimize emulation/FPGA models from RTL using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools.
- Integrate, test, and debug hardware and software collateral in emulation, simulation, and FPGA models.
- Implement new capabilities and tools to improve emulation/FPGA usability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with verification teams to optimize pre-silicon environments, test suites, and methodologies for emulation.
- Bring up SoC and IP in emulation/FPGA environments and resolve testbench and integration issues.
- Develop automation flows, scripts, and tooling to streamline emulation processes.
- Support hybrid emulation/FPGA environments and performance optimization efforts.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and conditions; preferred items noted where applicable.
-
Must-have: Proficiency in SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with emulation tools and/or FPGA prototyping methodologies (intermediate level or higher).
-
Must-have: Strong debugging skills for hardware and software collateral in emulation/FPGA environments.
-
Must-have: Basic knowledge of microarchitecture fundamentals, CPU architecture, and SoC integration.
-
Must-have: Experience developing automation flows, scripts, or tools using Python or similar languages.
-
Must-have: Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).
-
Must-have: Unrestricted permanent right to work in Mexico.
-
Preferred: Familiarity with emulation performance optimization techniques and hybrid emulation environments.
-
Preferred: Experience collaborating with cross-functional design, validation, and software teams and resolving complex test-environment issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required or equivalent practical experience.
