Engineering Technician

Role Summary

Supports engineering, characterization, and product teams by performing operational testing, fault isolation, equipment maintenance, and basic assembly tasks in a lab/test environment.

Creates test plans, collects and analyzes measurement data, calibrates stations, troubleshoots failures, and performs small-component soldering.

Experience Level

Support; Entry-level. Minimum 1+ years of experience in an engineering lab environment.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include testing, maintenance, and hands-on support of lab systems and product evaluation.

• Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Create test plans, measure parts, collect data, and perform initial analysis.
• Provide direct support to Design, Characterization, and Product teams.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and product changeovers.
• Set up and calibrate stations; troubleshoot to determine root cause of failures.
• Hand-solder components as small as 0402 and QFN using a microscope.

Requirements

Must have practical lab experience and the ability to learn and grow in a hands-on technical role.

• Minimum 1+ years experience in an engineering lab environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills, become proficient, and assume greater responsibility.
• Adaptability, achievement orientation, and attention to detail.
• Manual dexterity; experience with small-component soldering is highly desirable.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company.

Education Requirements

Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent military training.
