Job Title

DRAM Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and analyze digital and analog circuits for DRAM and memory-product development. Work within cross-functional teams (verification, product engineering, test, process integration, layout, and marketing) to deliver reliable, manufacturable memory solutions.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include circuit design, validation, and layout support across memory and analog domains.

  • Contribute to new product development: circuit design, layout, and optimization for memory, logic, and analog blocks.
  • Support parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions.
  • Oversee layout activities including floor-planning, placement, and routing.
  • Perform circuit verification using modeling and industry-standard simulators.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to support manufacturability, standardization, and product release.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience; preferred additional skills listed separately.

  • Familiarity with digital and/or analog circuit design concepts.
  • Experience with circuit simulation and modeling tools.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fundamentals and fabrication processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Nice-to-have: exposure to memory design (DRAM, NAND, SRAM) or high-speed circuit design.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with layout tools and physical design methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have: scripting or programming experience (Python, TCL) and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Nice-to-have: strong communication skills and experience with global, multi-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. Fields mentioned: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related technical fields; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
