Job Title

Digital Design Verification Engineer — SystemVerilog/UVM

Role Summary

Responsible for planning and executing functional verification of digital integrated circuits using SystemVerilog and UVM. The role owns verification environments, automated simulation regressions and contributes to verification strategy and release sign-off.

Works with design, validation, and project teams to ensure coverage-driven verification, debug failures, and mentor junior verification engineers.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Candidates typically have at least 3 years' relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification IP.
  • Design and run automated simulation regressions and manage results.
  • Define and collect functional coverage; close verification holes.
  • Implement assertion-based verification and write/check SVA properties.
  • Debug RTL issues using waveform analysis and simulation diagnostics.
  • Lead verification activities for assigned blocks and coordinate with designers.
  • Develop and maintain verification scripts and regression frameworks.
  • Prepare verification plans and provide release readiness reports.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Strong, hands-on SystemVerilog and UVM experience.
  • Experience with industry simulators and verification flows (e.g., VCS, Questa, Incisive).
  • Proficiency in scripting for test automation (Python, TCL, Perl, or similar).
  • Experience with functional coverage and coverage closure practices.
  • Solid RTL understanding and experience debugging RTL/verification failures.
  • Experience leading verification tasks or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills in an engineering environment.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering plus at least 3 years' relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years' relevant experience; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
