Job Title
DFT Engineer, Graviton Team
Role Summary
Design-for-Test (DFT) engineer focused on developing and validating DFT architectures and test infrastructure for AWS/Annapurna Labs Graviton silicon platforms. The role sits on the Graviton hardware team and supports design, verification, and silicon bring-up to ensure production-ready testability and diagnostic capability.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 3+ years of relevant semiconductor DFT experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing, verifying, and supporting DFT across the silicon lifecycle.
- Design and implement DFT architectures and scan infrastructure for complex SoCs.
- Develop test and debug patterns to validate manufacturing test coverage and debugability.
- Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and tool flows.
- Verify DFT logic and components at RTL and gate levels; create validation testbenches.
- Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis on hardware.
- Collaborate with RTL, physical design, verification, and manufacturing teams to integrate DFT solutions.
- Automate DFT flows and scripts to improve productivity and repeatability.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company (must-have).
- Proven experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog for DFT implementation and verification.
- Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG generation, and gate-level simulation.
- Knowledge of verification platforms and methodologies, including UVM; experience with FPGA and emulator environments.
- Strong scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation of DFT flows.
- Experience supporting silicon bring-up, debug, and diagnostics on real hardware.
- Strong static timing analysis and timing-debug skills in the context of DFT modes.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Tessent Streaming Scan Network (SSN) or similar advanced scan networks.
- Familiarity with cloud-based test infrastructures or in-fleet scan test techniques.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field β or equivalent practical experience. (The posting also specifies equivalent practical experience as acceptable.)
