Data Center SSD Performance Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end performance and power maturity of assigned Data Center SSD programs. Owns execution quality, technical analysis, and cross-functional alignment from early firmware bring-up through customer qualification.
Works across firmware, architecture, systems, QA, and product development to ensure programs meet performance and power targets with high confidence.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on program ownership, technical debug, planning, and cross-functional leadership to achieve performance and power readiness.
- Own end-to-end performance and power readiness for assigned programs, from early firmware maturity through customer qualification.
- Deliver high-quality performance and power data aligned with program goals and report program status to stakeholders.
- Perform in-depth performance analysis and root-cause debugging of firmware and hardware interactions.
- Identify performance risks early and drive mitigations with firmware, architecture, and systems teams.
- Represent performance perspective in Product Change Request scoping and lead change implementation on the program.
- Plan and forecast infrastructure and development needs to support program execution and appropriate test levels per phase.
- Collaborate with Firmware, Architecture, Systems, QA, and Product Development teams and participate in internal engineering forums to align processes.
- Identify gaps in performance methods, coverage, or tooling and propose improvements.
Requirements

- Strong background in SSD performance and power characterization.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, workload execution, and performance debugging.
- Solid understanding of firmware–hardware interactions affecting latency, bandwidth, and power.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to internal and external partners.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
