Role Summary
Lead the SoC and platform architecture strategy for MCU products, defining long-term roadmaps and scalable platform architectures across multiple product lines. This role drives technical direction (compute, connectivity, security, power), IP reuse strategy, and architecture governance to meet performance, power, area (PPA), cost, and time-to-market goals.
Experience Level
Senior β 15+ years of experience in SoC architecture, IP design, or chip development; proven leadership of cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include setting architecture vision, ensuring technical governance, partnering with product and business leaders, and building architecture capability.
- Define and drive long-term SoC and platform architecture roadmaps across multiple product lines.
- Align architecture strategy with business goals, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Define scalable, reusable platform architectures and lead IP reuse strategy.
- Make build vs. buy vs. partner decisions for key technologies and manage ecosystem partnerships.
- Own architectural decisions ensuring alignment with PPA, cost, and schedule targets.
- Establish architecture review boards, governance processes, and resolve cross-functional technical trade-offs.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, validation, and software teams to ensure execution alignment.
- Mentor senior architects, build high-performing teams, and define best practices and design methodologies.
