ATE Test Development Engineer
Role Summary
Develop ATE test programs and test hardware for high-speed networking switch ASICs, bringing designs from validation into manufacturing. The role sits in Global Operations supporting the Core Switching group and works with product, design and production teams to enable reliable, high-volume test and release of devices.

Responsibilities
Accountable for end-to-end ATE test development, hardware integration, and production release for high-power, high-speed SERDES networking chips.
- Develop and validate ATE test programs for networking switches (high power, >100G SERDES) on Teradyne UltraFlex platforms.
- Design and drive test hardware development: final test boards, probe cards, sockets; coordinate with PCB, probe and socket vendors.
- Debug and bring up test hardware on ATE systems; troubleshoot failures with cross-functional teams.
- Optimize test programs to reduce test time and improve yield without compromising product quality.
- Perform volume data analysis and correlate test failures to system-level issues.
- Coordinate production release of test programs with manufacturing teams (including Asia-based production).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and hands-on experience required for the role.
- Hands-on experience with Teradyne UltraFlex tester platforms.
- Proven ability to independently develop complex test programs and test flows targeting performance and power specifications.
- Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills for failure analysis at ATE.
- Proficiency in volume data analysis and tools; ability to correlate failures across test and system data.
- Programming experience for test method and script development.
- Experience working with test hardware development teams and understanding ATE contributions to chip behavior.
- Experience with extreme temperature testing of ASICs at ATE.
- Nice to have: experience using AI tools to accelerate script development.
Education Requirements
