Associate Modeling Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and maintain customer-facing Simulink and IBIS/IBIS-AMI models for Analog Devices integrated circuits to enable customer simulations and faster product adoption. Deliver validated digital models and support customers and field teams with simulation workflows.
Position may require travel for customer support and collaboration (approximately 10%).
Experience Level
Entry-level / Associate (Graduate). Suitable for new graduates or early-career engineers; no specific years of experience stated.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Develop Simulink and IBIS/IBIS-AMI models for ADI products and systems.
- Develop and validate IBIS 4.2/5.0 and IBIS-AMI models across technologies.
- Support tools, flows and methodologies for IBIS model development and validation.
- Perform signal and power integrity channel simulations and validation.
- Address customer simulation challenges and provide technical guidance to field teams.
- Collaborate with product engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver models on schedule.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Practical experience in IBIS and IBIS-AMI model development for signal/power integrity and channel simulations.
- Strong background in analog and digital electronics and transmission line theory.
- Familiarity with EDA simulation tools such as Spectre, HSPICE, LTSpice, HyperLynx, Sigrity, ADS, or T2B.
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, MATLAB/Simulink, LabView, or similar).
- Knowledge of signal integrity analysis, physics-based modeling, and transistor-level simulation.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience using electronics lab equipment.
- Technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools applied to engineering workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or an equivalent degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
