ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join a VLSI engineering team responsible for verification, validation, and delivery of ASIC components used in HPE platforms. The role focuses on developing and executing verification plans, debugging silicon-level issues, and collaborating with internal and external design partners.
Hybrid role with an expectation of approximately 2 days per week onsite at an HPE office.
Experience Level
Mid-level β requires professional experience; the posting specifies at least 3+ years of relevant VLSI verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring within VLSI development projects.
- Design and execute verification plans for complex VLSI components and subsystems.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification infrastructure.
- Debug functional and integration issues using simulation and lab bring-up tools.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, validation engineers, and outsourced partners on design status and issue resolution.
- Represent the verification team during project phases and reviews.
- Provide guidance and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.
- 3+ years of VLSI verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Proven experience verifying and debugging integrated circuits, architectures, or algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of digital logic, computer architecture, and VLSI verification methodologies.
- Experience with programming/scripting, hardware description languages, and EDA or FPGA tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external development partners.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience leading verification efforts on larger or more complex VLSI projects.
- Previous mentorship or project lead experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; or equivalent practical experience. Coursework or background in VLSI design and related topics is noted as relevant.
