Job Title

Analog IC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Lead and contribute to analog integrated-circuit design projects from definition through production for consumer, mobile computing and communications applications. Work on an established team collaborating with systems, verification, layout, validation and product engineering to deliver silicon products.

Focus on product ownership, design quality, and successful transfer to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical leadership, project execution and cross-functional coordination across the IC design flow.

  • Lead an Analog IC design team and own products from definition to manufacturing release.
  • Assign work, provide design guidance, develop schedules and monitor project progress.
  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate analog IC circuits and subsystems.
  • Evaluate intermediate and final design results and perform silicon evaluation to meet technical objectives.
  • Coordinate with physical designers and monitor IC layout progress.
  • Collaborate with design verification teams during pre-production phases to complete technical tasks before product gate.
  • Work with systems, applications and marketing to define product requirements, datasheets and application notes.
  • Support validation, product engineering and test teams to enable production transfer.
  • Interface with customers and field teams to resolve design issues and provide technical support.
  • Participate in hiring, developing and evaluating team members.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and experience for successful candidates.

Must-have:

  • About 5 years of relevant analog IC design experience with demonstrated ownership of product delivery.
  • Proven experience leading or directing design activities and mentoring engineers.
  • Hands-on experience across the analog IC design flow and silicon evaluation.
  • Experience coordinating with layout, design verification, validation, test and product engineering teams.
  • Ability to work with systems engineers, application engineers and marketing to define product requirements.
  • Customer-facing experience to support designs and resolve issues.

Nice-to-have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to ramp up on new systems quickly.
  • Strong time-management skills to meet project deadlines.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is stated as a minimum requirement.
