Job Title

Analog Design Intern

Role Summary

Support analog mixed-signal IC design and evaluation within Marvell's Central Engineering team at the Córdoba, Argentina design center. Tasks include circuit design and layout support, silicon evaluation and characterization, verification using Spice, and improving analog design flows and co-simulation with digital blocks.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students in the final year of an engineering degree or for Master's/PhD candidates; intended for candidates with limited professional experience seeking hands-on training.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities and day-to-day activities:

  • Support IC design through schematic capture, layout assistance, and design verification (Spice simulations).
  • Run silicon evaluation and characterization of analog IP.
  • Perform EM/IR (electromigration/IR drop) analysis on analog layouts.
  • Execute co-simulation between digital and analog designs and support integration tests.
  • Develop and enhance flows and automation to improve analog IC design robustness.
  • Participate in team design reviews and training; collaborate with cross-functional engineers.

Requirements

Core skills and eligibility for this internship.

  • Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of transistor-level and CMOS circuit design.
  • Experience with Cadence tools: schematic capture, simulation, and layout.
  • Ability to plan and adhere to project schedules and deliverables.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies, and able to work in a team.
  • Nice-to-have: ability to write behavioral models for analog and digital circuits.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled technology; candidates may be subject to export license review.

Education Requirements

Students must be in the final year of a 5/5.5-year engineering program at UTN-FRC, UTN-VM, UNC, or IUA, or be enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Electrical Engineering at any university in Argentina.
