Job Title
Analog Circuit Design Engineer - AI/ML methodology
Role Summary
Design and validate analog integrated circuits and integrate AI/ML-enabled tools into analog IC development flows. Work within a small interdisciplinary team to define, model, implement, and document analog IP across diverse applications (audio, imaging, high-speed interfaces, clocking, medical, automotive, storage, power management, etc.).
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define, design, model, implement, and document analog ICs and IP blocks.
- Create schematics and perform functional and parametric simulations.
- Support IC layout and run post-layout extracted simulations.
- Apply and drive adoption of AI/ML-enabled tools and flows to accelerate analog design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including layout, verification, and digital design engineers.
- Contribute to technical innovation with opportunities for patents and publications.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications summarized:
-
Must-have: 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
-
Must-have: Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (reported by the employer).
-
Nice-to-have: Hands-on coursework, project, or internship experience with analog IP (band-gap, ADC/DAC, amplifiers, oscillators, comparators, I/O cells, LDO/DCDC, etc.).
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with corners, statistical analysis, and post-layout concepts.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with Cadence Virtuoso ADE and SPECTRE simulator.
-
Nice-to-have: Foundational programming skills in Python and familiarity with packages such as Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or Matplotlib.
-
Nice-to-have: Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts (neural networks, graphs, clustering, regression, decision trees).
-
Other: Strong communication, analytical/problem-solving skills, ability to work across time zones and drive results.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field. The posting specifies a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0. Course projects or internships in analog circuit design are noted as preferred.
