AMS Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The AMS Verification Engineer is a member of an IC design team in Nijmegen responsible for planning and executing functional and analog-mixed-signal (AMS) verification for in-vehicle networking products. The role maps requirements to a traceable verification plan, develops verification environments and test benches, and supports debugging through tape-out.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires over 5 years of experience in digital/functional verification.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include creating verification plans, building verification infrastructure, and executing simulation and formal verification.
- Define and document verification plans and strategies
- Develop and implement verification test benches and components (drivers, monitors, response checkers)
- Develop directed and constrained-random stimulus using advanced UVM VIPs
- Define and maintain verification infrastructure, including VIP, lab test setups, and prototyping (FPGA/virtual)
- Create simulation models and test cases for simulation and formal verification
- Debug failures, reproduce issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in change control board, design reviews, inspections, and walkthroughs from a verification perspective
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items noted.
- Over 5 years of experience in digital/functional verification
- Strong knowledge of verification methodology and associated tools
- Proven skills in debug, failure re-creation, and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with ASIC/SoC design flow from feature identification through tape-out
- Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM verification environments
- Experience developing test benches and simulation models
- Scripting experience (Perl, C-shell, Tcl, Python, Makefile)
- Nice-to-have: hands-on RTL coding and DFT experience
- Nice-to-have: affinity to automotive products and knowledge of automotive standards
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
